” Fundasul si capitanul echipei Motherwell, Phil O Donnell, a decedat, sambata seara, la un spital dupa ce, anterior, se prabusise pe teren in timpul meciului cu Dundee United, din etapa a 20-a a campionatului Scotiei.
O Donnell, in varsta de 35 de ani, si-a pierdut cunostinta in momentul in care urma sa fie inlocuit de Mark Fitzpatrick cu12 minute inainte de finalul partidei. Dupa ce a primit ingrijiri medicale de urgenta, O Donnell a fost transportat la spitalul “Wishaw General”, unde medicii nu i-au mai putut salva viata.”
